Description

Reina 5.5 Verdejo is a partially fermented grape must made from 100% Verdejo grapes, using the Charmat method, with a second fermentation in tank. This process preserves the variety’s full character while creating fine, lively and persistent bubblesIts low alcohol content (5.5% ABV) makes it a light, refreshing and highly versatile option. The sugars are entirely natural, as is its effervescence.

Visually, it displays a pale yellow colour, clean and bright, with subtle greenish and greyish highlightsthat hint at freshness. The bubbles are delicate and well integrated, rather than coarse, creating an appealing and lively effervescence.

On the nose, it stands out for its intense sense of freshness, with appealing notes of tropical fruitaccompanied by balsamic and minty nuancesthat add vibrancy and aromatic expression.

On the palate, it is a frizzante balanced and highly enjoyable, with residual sugars and natural acidity perfectly integrated with the bubbles, creating a sense of volume and lightness with an easy-drinking palate. The finish is long and persistent, with a refreshing minty note on the retronasal that invites another sip. It is neither cloying nor excessively sweet.

Reina 5.5 Verdejo is a wine designed for effortless enjoyment, ideal on its own simply to refresh, but also perfect as an aperitif, or paired with salads, chicken, white fish and seafood. It is a young, modern and highly approachable addition to the Monte La Reina range.
